We talk to him last night and he said he is just about finished, the reason it is taking a while is he said he would like to make the remix sound dope for the EP. JD productions is still in the studio working on the “ Burn Out EP”.
He has finished three rough tracks for the EP. He brought the 3rd track in today and we are listening and giving feed back, we will post the 3rd track to the Big D player so you can give your feed back. You may of heard the first track “ Turn U Out” this track has been playing in his show for a while so you will know it when it plays in the clubs. Lets talk R&B Music > The Matthew James Project has been mixed down and all tracks are ready to be master. We will be dropping the master off as soon as he hands the CD to us.
We already have radio stations ready to play the album. This is a great step for Matthew James. We guess this is why he is taking his time to make sure all tracks our slammin for the album. Brotha Funk’s EP “ Cover Me ft Jerome is finished, we just heard from Harlem Station, saying they needed a little more time due to family issues. We have a new music profile for Big D Records on Black planet .com, we have uploaded 7 new tracks from the Matthew James Album, so check out the profile, and listen to 7 of his 12 tracks from his forth coming album called( The Many Shades of Matthew James)

Lets talk about singers> Oh yes we forgot to tell you in the last blog, JD is looking for a soulful singer, who would love to sing dance tunes, and build from there. OK all you LA Lakers fans, did you see what happen on Thursday night!!!!24 point lead,, and then blew it and lost by 6 points, i sure hope they can put this together!!!!
Let get into the business of music. ON the R&B tip> J-Swole has been gaining rotation from different radio stations, and we are so happy about this. We have sent out more packages to various radio stations, that like what they hear, and add his songs to their play list. Next week or later in the week, we will give you the stations that added J-swole to their rotation. RE: Matthew James>Well he is almost their as we are told he had a little problem with one of his tracks off his album, and he has to go back into the studio and work on the track. This always happens, to the best of them, but he let us know, he will have the album on time for the release!!! We are not worried, it will be massive!!!
JD Productions, has another R&B/Hip Hop artist in the works, and he is bad, will give you all the details as soon as he starts recording in the studio, but check it out, his flow is smooth. The Artist name is lance, but he hasn't given us his stage name yet. Hold on we will get all that for you Big D fans!!!! ON The House Tip> We still have heard yet from the pressing plant about the Big D Mix compilation, but it will drop by this summers end, no worries though it's going to be tight when you get your copy. Brotha Funk has mixed down his tracks for his up coming EP titled " Brotha Funk/ ft Jerome " Cover me EP " Plus Royal Darkness Productions, has sent their mix in and it is slammin, we are now waiting on the Un-dah_Dub mix, and New Jersey Meastros. Get ready for this Ep because it is sure to make waves in the dance community. We have a buzz all ready on the project, from the people we have played it for already. JD said he is going to play it in the next radio show on " SS Radio UK. Speaking of JD, he has finished his mix for Javas Under Vocies on Harlem Station, and we will get you the details of when the EP will drop.

News on the R&B front- Big D Records first R&B artist J-Swole, has been picked up for rotation on the station KAZI 88.7 FM Austin, TX.
So for all you that are in the Texas area check out for J-Swole ( Stay & Gone Away ) These have been added to the radio line up. If you would like to here J-Swole’s album, or purchase drop us a message on the Big D My Space, and we will get you all the information, and we will let you know where you can purchase the Album. RE: Matthew James Project- Matthew James is about finished mixing down the tracks on his first release. There our a few tracks left, and then we will send it off to mastering. The news... JD has finished the Remix for Harlem Station, called " Under Voices", this is going to be hot. He brought it in today, so we have been listening to the track, and it's off the hook. Very high energy, this should go well with Harlem station Records. We will keep you informed when the remix comes out. Matthew James has mixed down some more tracks from his album, we heard he should be finished with the mix down of all his tracks, buy the 1st week in June. We can't wait to hear the album, we have some of his tracks up on the Big D Player. It looks like he is going to be on time with his release. We have news the first Big D mix compilation will be going into mastering this week, then we should be pressing and printing, and then out to the public, we will keep you informed on this. Hello every one, from the Big D Staff. Just some little tid bits, so you know whats up here at the Big D Camp. Brotha Funks EP is coming along great, we have remixes by New Jersey Meastros, The Un- Dah- Dub from Harlem Station, and Royal Darkness Productions. The EP will hit the streets this June or July, and will be a Big hit with all these remixers on the track. If you would like to hear the original version by Brotha Funk, go to the Big D My Space player and check out the song " Cover Me" BY Brotha Funk. The Remix By Royal Darkness called " Honey by Erykah Badu is already getting some attention from the DJ's at www. idjpool. com. Royal Darkness will be sending off the remix to Universal this week, so lets pray they get it picked up. If you would like to hear this track, you can also go to the Big D My Space player and click on "Honey" Don't forget this Tuesday Night(May-28-08 ), DJJD & Nica D. will be hosting the show "A Touch Of Soul" on SS Radio. The show starts at 8pm pacific time -10pm. You can log on to www. ssradiouk. com to listen .

They will show case the best in house music, and JD will have a 1hr hot mix for you in the 2nd hr of the show. Ok Dj's and music lovers, don't for get you can go to www. bigdrecords281. com and down load your free track. Plus there are some other goodies there for you to down load, for our friends of Big D records. Pretty soon we will have clothing and swag, and other great stuff for you as time goes by.

We have some great news for the people who visit the Big D web site. We have a free track for you to down load when you visit the site, this is for all you DJ'S out there looking for free music.
You can down load a unreleased track produced by JD Productions/ ft Big Al. The track is called " Let the Music", what else would we do for our friends of Big D Records!!!! There is also some other goodies you can down load for free on the web site, so go a head and check this out!!! Go to the download section, and it's on for ya!!! For other friends of ours who could not purchase the music from Big D Records on different digital music sites, we now have the releases hooked up to Itunes, yes thats right ITUNES!!!! Just go to releases and you will see the icon, and click on the icon, and check out the music, and feel free to purchase if you like, we are trying to make the site as easy as possible!! We have news, JD is starting a remix for Harlem station NY called " Under voices". He is doing a remix on the track and should have a sample of the cut up on the player soon, to get your feed back on the remix. We are glad to be part of Harlem station and their production work, this track will be on Harlem Station's new EP called "Under Voices", so check out www.harlemstation.com to see when the EP will hit the streets. For all you lovers of the mix cd's, the finishing touches will be finished soon, for the first Big D mix Compilation titled " Big Time House VOL 1", the next step will be mastering , and then you should see it in the stores or you can get it on the Big D web site!!!! This summer so stay tune. On to our R&B lovers, Matthew James is almost finished with the mixing down of the new album, and then it has to go to mastering , then it will hit the streets this summer or late summer or early fall. We wanted to find out from people, if you think we sholud have Matthew James have a my space? Hit us back with a comment on this question. We also have some other cool stuff on the page for you to download for free!!!! What other way would we start Big D records web site off, than to give you free material. This will be up for a couple of months, then we will have another track for you after this. On the production tip for Big D, Brotha Funk, will be coming out with his new EP called " The Cover Me EP" ft/ Jerome, with mixes by Royal Darkness, The Un-Dah Dub- and The New Jersey Maestros. This EP is set to hit on the streets, late June or early July of 2008. This will be a hot EP for the summer from Brotha Funk!!!!! We also have news, Matthew James, is working on mixing his tracks down for his album titled " The Many Shades Of Matthew James". We are so happy at Big D, to have this artist on our label. The compilation is called" Big Time House Vol 1". You will be able to get this at all the record stores and digital down load sites. This is are first of many house compilations to come so we will keep you up to date when it hits the streets.

As always we will leave a link at the bottom of the post so you can go directly to the show and listen again to last nights show if you like. On the production side of Big D records. Matthew James has started mixing down his album for 2008. This should be very exciting for the Big D camp, because this is are first artist on Big D Records. We hope all you Hip Hop lovers, and R&B junkies will enjoy his album. For all you DJ’s, Big D records will have the first track free for you to download by the end of this week, or at the beginning of next week. Free track to download, hope you enjoy. Ok we have some news on DJJD-JD(ceo). He has to check out sum business this Friday night at a club, and if everything works out, you will catch him at a residency, here in Los Angeles, I know everyone can’t wait for this. Let all pray that this goes through, because we love seeing JD on the turntables or CD’s!!!
When this happens we will drop the details for all of Los Angeles!!!

Royal Darkness, has finished the remix plus the mastering, and it will be sent to IDJ Record pool to night, then it will go off to Universal / Motown. We wish them the best of luck for the remix to be picked up. Matthew James has given us some finished tracks from his forth coming Album’ The many Shades of Matthew James”. We put the tracks up on the My space Big D Player, to give you a chance to listen to his music before you get it in the stores, so drop buy Big D my space to listen to his music.
Brotha Funk’s EP/ ft Jerome, has fresh new remixes, that are being remixed by ( New Jersey Maestros) ( The Un-dah- Dub from Harlem station NY) and (Royal Darkness Prod). The title of the EP is called “Cover me EP”. We are ready to have Brotha Funk drop this EP, because he has put a new sound in his music these days, so it will sound fresh, and new. Lets wait and see. We have new information, JD Productions has started work on a new EP. He said he played one of the tracks on his radio show for SS Radio UK ( A Touch Of Soul).The track is called “ Turn U Out”. We will check this out because their show on SS radio UK, airs tomorrow night. That would be Tuesday night 8pm-10pm pacific coast time. So if you have time check out the show and let us know how the track sounded. We have also put it up on the my space Big D player. One last note, we should have the free track up on the Big D web site for down load by the end of this week, so stay tuned, and we will get you the information. The track is called “ let the music take you there” this is a unreleased version from JD productions, get ready all you DJ’s.

This is going to be a different for Big D Records, but we all must embrace the change.
The Album from Matthew James is R&B, Funky Jazz Fusion, this how he explained it to us.
The tracks he’s finished, are the Bomb, and we believe this is going to do well in the music community. One track is called, ( The Jump Off), another is called( Slow & Easy) and the third is called ( What I Hear). Now these tracks are dope for Big D Records, for them to come with a artist like Matthew James. We will have the tracks up on the Big D Player, so you can check them out and leave comments if you like. But do not worry all you house heads out there, we have not given up on House music, we will also be bring the heat for the dance community, we just believe in giving people a chance to listen to different music.
With that said, We have new Remixes coming from The Un Dah dub from Harlem Station, out of New York, he will be doing a remix on Brotha Funk’s “ Cover Me”ft/ Jerome. We also have New Jersey Maestros doing a remix on Brotha Funks EP. This should be a dope EP, Plus a Remix By the Hot production Team , Royal Darkness.
This EP is set to go out in June, so stay.

Hello everyone from the Big D Staff, we hope you had a great weekend. So lets start off by telling you the remix for Eryakh Badu " Honey" by Royal Darkness Productions is finished, and they just sent it off to day for mastering. So if you are one of the lucky ones, i heard it will be giving to all the Dj's in the IDJ Record Pool. And then you should see it on Universal/ Motown Records.
We wish them all the best with this, and look forward to the remix they will do on Brotha Funks EP.
We have great news for the Dj's who would like free music, we have selected a track that has not been released to put up on the Big D web site for free downloading. This should be up by the end of the week, so stay tune for this and get you free music, DJ"s!!!! We heard the track, and we can't understand why we did not release it, oh well free for everyone!!!!!
